This guide shows how to buy memecoins on GIWA Chain with GiwaTerminal, from creating your account to taking profit. Every step links to the page with all the details.
Step 1: Create your account
Click Sign up and continue with a browser wallet (MetaMask, Phantom, Rabby, OKX…) or with Telegram. Pick a username and save your recovery code somewhere offline. Your login wallet only identifies you: you trade with terminal wallets inside your account. Details: Create your account.
Step 2: Fund your wallet with ETH on GIWA
Memecoins on GIWA Chain are bought with ETH, which is also the gas token. Open your wallet menu, choose Deposit and send ETH on the GIWA network to the address shown. On testnet, get test ETH from the faucet and bridge listed in the official GIWA documentation. Details: Fund your wallet.
Step 3: Find new tokens on GIWA Chain
- Trenches — every new GIWA token in three live columns: New (just created), Bonding (filling a launchpad's bonding curve) and Bonded (moved to a pool). See Trenches and filters.
- Trending — the tokens with the most activity right now.
- Search — find a token by ticker, name or contract address (CA). Pasting a CA opens the token directly.
- Copied CA quick buy (desktop) — copy a token address anywhere, come back to GiwaTerminal and a pill with a ⚡ button appears at the top.
Step 4: Check the token before you buy
Open the token and look at its safety badge (Safe, Caution or Risk) and the numbers on its card:
- Dev % and top 10 % — how much of the supply the creator and the largest holders own.
- Tax — buy and sell tax, measured on recent trades.
- Honeypot check — whether wallets other than the dev have been able to sell.
- Holder tags (DEV, SNIPER, BUNDLE, INSIDER) and the bubble map of who funded whom.
These checks are automatic and can be wrong. Details: Token safety.
Step 5: Buy the memecoin
- ⚡ Quick buy — one click from any card in Trenches or Trending, with its own amount per column.
- Trade panel — open the token, choose an amount of ETH or a preset (P1, P2, P3) and buy. You see the value in dollars and what you'll receive before you trade.
- Slippage — how much the price can move before the trade reverts. If it reverts, nothing is bought and no fee is charged; you only pay gas.
Your terminal wallet signs in your browser, so there are no pop-ups to confirm. Details: Buy and sell.
Step 6: Sell, take profit or set a stop loss
Sell a percentage of your tokens from the trade panel, or open the Limit tab to set a take profit, a stop loss or a limit buy by market cap. For tokens in a pool, orders run on-chain even with the terminal closed. Details: Limit orders.
Fees for trading memecoins on GIWA
Each buy and sell pays 1%, or 0.9% if you joined with a referral link, charged in the same transaction as the trade. Network gas, token taxes and launchpad or pool fees are separate. Details: Fees.
Frequently asked questions
What do I need to buy memecoins on GIWA Chain?
A GiwaTerminal account (log in with a browser wallet or Telegram) and ETH on the GIWA network in your terminal wallet. On the current testnet, that's test ETH from the official faucet.
Can I buy GIWA tokens with MetaMask directly?
Your browser wallet is used only to log in. Trades are signed by the terminal wallets in your account. You can import the same wallet as a terminal wallet if you want to trade with it. See Wallets and keys.
How do I find new tokens on GIWA Chain?
Use Trenches to see every new token as it's created, Trending for the most active ones, or search by ticker, name or contract address.
Why did my buy fail?
Usually the price moved more than your slippage. The transaction reverts, no fee is charged and you only pay gas. Try again with a little more slippage or a smaller amount.
